AdCom SBus Communication Controller [Frontier Technologies Corporation]

AdCom SBus Communication Controller is an advanced communicationcontroller that allows the implementation of complex protocols such asCCITT X.25, TCP/IP, and OSI. It features an onboard 80188 microprocessorwith DMA and interrupts, 512K Dual Access Memory, and programmable ratesfrom 250K to 300K.Automatic error checking is provided. AdCom is ideally suited toapplications where it is desirable to offload processing from the hostCPU. The 10 MHz local CPU provides fast and efficient execution ofdownloadable code. Support of RS-232 electrical interface is provided.
